Which one to choose in security and freedom, the question arose:The fight for surveillance on Muslims in America reached the Supreme Court, decision will be taken in November
In the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in America, the question is being raised before people, who should they choose in security and freedom? The answer to this can be given by the US Supreme Court in the month of November. Imam Yasir Fazaga, a Muslim cleric from California, will stand his questions before the Supreme Court in November.
In 2011, Fazaga, along with two others and with the help of the American Islamic Council, filed a case against the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He alleged that the FBI was monitoring Muslims only because they were Muslims.
The FBI argued that their investigation was a "state secret" and could prove extremely dangerous to national security if the case was continued. The first question before the Supreme Court in the FBI vs. Fazaga case in November will be whether state secret privileges are justified in this case. The FBI argues that the court does not have the authority to investigate the FBI and examine its documents.
